very nice.

today was filled with really satisfying, normal stuff.

after a couple of days of not getting outdoors, i had a 6-mile adventure with rusty after work. i burned a hole in the wallet and bought a sweet skirt for 5 bucks. i've got a nice glass of cold lemonade. (i'm soda-free today. gonna try to wean myself again.) life is good. i have a job. it's near the water. i get to spend my sunny lunch hour napping on the grass at the delta's edge.

and the cherry on top? after spending all day with new coworkers and bosses who heartlessly murder the pronunciation of my name, i watch tonight's episode of raines and discover a guest character named svetlana... a russian call-girl, of course...and toting a ridiculously thick accent, but she's mentioned very often and oh, how nice it is to hear her name said properly, over and over. very nice.
